November was kind of a hodgepodge of events for us
It all started when I walked out into the courtyard and found this little guy.
So I know the picture is super fuzzy, and the creature in question happens to be camouflaged in the gravel but it is an owl--- and not just any owl-- It's Pigwidgeon. He got injured on his long flight from Hogwarts so we took him to the wildlife rescue to recoup before he journeyed back over the pond.
We did a little search around the yard and found what he'd traveled all that way to bring us.
Nestled in a bush we found a fun brown paper package tied up with string (it's one of my favorite things) sealed with wax (may or may not have been melted crayon).
It seems as if someone found out that we had been listening to all the Harry Potter books and sent the owl over with delivery from Ollivander's.
My picture history indicates that we had a little trip to the zoo with friends for a birthday party.
We also decided to do a little kitchen remodel.
Before
After
I have to admit that I'm pretty much in love with the makeover.
The renovations finished up just in time for my mom's arrival for Thanksgiving. While the meal was being prepared she and the kids stamped it up to make the fun place and table settings.
